Janet and her Brother -- Janet and her brother were orphaned after the death of their mother from AIDS six weeks before this photo was taken. They are still living in the family home. Janet attends school, sells fruit at a stand nearby and mothers her young brother. They have photos of their family in better days, which they are happy to show you. Kibera Hamlets has negotiated with the landlord to charge lower rent and arranged for a sponsor to fund Janet's schooling.
