Dairy Goats -- Joyce's grandfather shoos a dairy goat from its specially built shed at his shamba outside of Tala. During one of our visits to the school, Monica expressed the need of many families for protein-rich food to feed their children and suggested raising funds for high quality dairy goats. Together with writer Ruthann Richter and our large community of friends, we raised enough money to purchase 50 of these animals for families in Tala.
